Domowe Melodie are a band unlike any other. The trio keeps a keen eye on what goes on in Polish society and their songs often reflect the mood of young Poles. The musicians are the epitome of quirky - from their stage attires of patterned onesies to extravagant hairstyles to the fact that they record, design, and release their albums independently and from their home studio.
This year the eccentric musicians welcomed the huge audience into their world. In a concert which felt intimate and very personal, we experienced something magical. The bond between the artists and audience seemed to be immediate - and lasting. The performance was touching, whimsical, and powerful all at once. It was an experience and a journey of artistic discovery - an intimate performance on a massive stage in front of the huge audience.
As our Monday tradition dictates, we have the fresh listing of our Golden Spinning Top award. The winning bands are invited to play at Woodstock Festival Poland in the following year.
Republika Project is the effect of the work of fans and friends of Woodstock Festival Poland. People kept asking us if we can come up with a similar music initiative until we relented in 2001 and began to talk music with manager of the band Republika.
